Born from a love of craft and community

Mills River Brewery started with a simple idea: what if a town could have a place where great beer and genuine connection went hand in hand? That question led us to 103 Rockwood Road, where we've been brewing up something special ever since.

Every batch we brew is made right here in Arden, using quality ingredients and a whole lot of heart. Whether you're a seasoned beer enthusiast or just discovering the world of craft, there's a seat for you at our taproom. We're not just a brewery — we're your neighborhood gathering place.

Mills River Pale Ale

A crisp, hoppy pale ale with citrus notes and a clean finish. Our everyday pour — balanced, refreshing, and impossible to drink just one.

5.4% ABV 30 IBU

Bold

River Bottom Stout

Rich chocolate and coffee flavors wrap around a velvety body. Dark, smooth, and perfect for settling in for a long evening.

7.2% ABV 45 IBU

Fruity

Blue Ridge Hefeweizen

Cloudy, refreshing, and bursting with banana and clove. A German-style wheat beer that captures the spirit of the mountains.

5.0% ABV 18 IBU

Hoppy

Pisgah IPA

A resinous, pine-forward IPA that pays homage to the nearby Pisgah National Forest. Bold hop character with a dry, satisfying finish.

6.8% ABV 65 IBU

Autumn Gold Lager

A golden lager brewed for crisp fall evenings. Clean malt sweetness with a subtle floral hop aroma — the taste of the season.

Saturday afternoons. Walk through our brewing process, taste three flights, and learn what goes into every pour. Free for all ages.

Laid-back Sundays with live music, food trucks, and half-price pints until 3pm. The perfect way to kick off your weekend.
